Initially focused on the first phases of the design process - designing - I transitioned into the full project management & execution of renovation projects - which turned out to be my true calling.
Having spent 7 years in Hamburg, Germany, and getting married in the meantime, we relocated to the Philippines in 2019 where I found something quite different; the role of Chief Product Officer at a plastic recycling company, leading a team in designing emergency sheds & furniture made from recycled plastic waste. Our journey then took us to India, where I embarked on new renovation projects. It was here that I observed the pitfalls of people bypassing architects to work directly with their contractors. The services of an architect are skipped in the hopes to have more budget available for the actual work, but this has often led to needing to compromise, miscommunication, sometimes dramatic endings & unexpected invoices. This realization prompted me to step in and offer an alternative solution for you.

My default mode is rapid adaptation. Having lived in eight countries has blended my experiences into a cultural cocktail. Picture the refined taste in design from the Italians, the meticulous planning skills from the Germans, the positivity of the Filipinos, and the ambition of the Indians! Depending on your needs, I can activate the right elements.

I am Dutch.
The Dutch embody a range of traits, from frugality to distinctive food preferences & are remarkably open-minded (Update Nov 2023 elections: I take this back). So why does this matter, you might ask? Here's why: we are straightforward. While this directness might come across as simply being rude, it is rooted in transparency & honesty. So, when faced with crucial decisions in your renovation project, wouldn't you rather receive straightforward information about the potential impact on your budget, as opposed to discovering it later?

I have moved 20 times.
I'm not overly selective which led to these constant moves. Life simply unfolded this way, providing me with extensive knowledge on different ways to unpack boxes. But more importantly, it has given me the chance to transform each new space into a home that inspires me, offering a valuable checklist of do's & don'ts.

I am multi-lingual.
I'm presently mastering my sixth language. Humble as I aim to be (though I might be subtly bragging), if English isn't your native language and you find it more comfortable to express your needs in French, Spanish, Dutch, German, or Italian, feel free to send me your inquiries in your preferred language!

I'm a woman.
Allow me to clarify: I want you to choose to work with me because of the quality Y style of my work. But since we are listing more reasons I cannot ignore the fact that I am a woman. "Women are underrepresented in architecture not just at the top of the field but at all levels of practice" (source: The New York Times 'Where Are All The Female Architects?') Oh, and I am an architect.
I hold both a bachelor's & master's degree in Architectural Engineering, backed by over 7 years of experience in renovation projects. I have overseen projects with substantial volumes and successfully project-managed sites with budgets up to 2 million euros.
